About Eva-Carin Lindgren

Eva-Carin Lindgren conducted her doctoral research 2002 and was appointed associate professor at the Faculty of Education, Gothenburg University 2012. Eva-Carin’s research interests include health promotion, physical activity and sport. On the basis of the doctoral dissertation she designed an empowermentbased physical activity intervention pursues teenage girls. She has also contributed to other research project aimed at examine health promotion interventions.

Another topic in Eva-Carin's research has to deal with the complexity of the two off the sport’s different commissions; competition fostering (principles and values that enclose the competitive sports internal logic) versus to increase more physically active in the society (that can be seen as the sport's public health commissions). In the dissertation, she has in the light of this had focus on teenage girls and after the dissertation on leader’s and children.
